Competition or Cooperation: East vs. West

Competition or Cooperation: East vs. West
May 11 - 12, 2009
Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

The East is currently undergoing a major socio-political and economic transformation. Some suggest countries like China and India will overtake the West as a centre for business and economic development, while others see complementary relations between the two regions. To further explore contrasting economic environments and business relations between the two regions, scholars from North America, Latin America, the European Union, and the Asia Pacific regions will convene to discuss these topics in May 2009 in Edmonton, the economic engine of Canada.

Participants will have the opportunity to discuss this important and timely topic and its' implications in a one-day conference.
