重庆十医生援外战艾滋
本报讯 昨晚21时20分，我市援巴布亚新几内亚独立国第三批医疗队，在圆满完成两年的医疗援助任务后，光荣返渝。医疗队共计10人，分别来自重医附一院、中山医院、市三院等。两年救治巴布亚新几内亚独立国2.3万人。
市卫生局科外处负责人介绍，从2002年开始，我市已累计向巴布亚新几内亚独立国派遣4批共40名医务人员，对其提供医疗援助。
巴布亚新几内亚独立国艾滋病泛滥，内科医生天天与艾滋病零距离接触，外科、内科医生在手术难免被手术针、刀误伤，眼睛被溅血污染而面临感染艾滋病的危险。第三批医疗队援外医疗两年来，在巴布亚新几内亚独立国莫港总医院，先后为该国患者诊治各种疾病达23500多人次，施行大、小手术1000多例，针灸治疗5700多例，病理诊断2600多例，无医疗差错事故发生，同时，医疗队还培养当地医生和医学生128人。
据悉，第四批医疗队已于11月7日和第三批医疗队完成交接并投入工作。两年后，第五批医疗队将赴巴轮换。记者 王德利
