一起普通电缆盗窃案，却因一人心脏病一人艾滋，且家人已不管，派出所民警不仅暂无法将两人刑拘，还拿出上万元，为两人治病。
4月1日凌晨4时许，五华分局虹山派出所巡逻民警在黄土坡车站，发现两名背着麻袋的男子形迹可疑，便尾随其后。两人找到一家废品回收站，民警断定一定是要销赃。果然，经盘查两人交代，3月31日晚在西三环的一村子内盗窃了233米通信电缆，两人以每公斤40元的价格，卖掉了26公斤电缆，共计1100余元。
