Admissions Requirements for Transfers |
一: 如果学生至少完成了60个学分,转学时,按照upper-division transferstudent,学生来处理,下面是具体的介绍,一般说来UPPER--DIVISION TRANSFER STUDENT截止会稍微晚些!
If you have completed 60 or more transferable semester college units (90 quarter units) prior to transfer, you are considered an upper-division transferstudent, and the following requirements must be satisfied:
§ Have a college grade-point average of 2.0 or better in all transferable units attempted (2.4 or better for non-California residents); § Be in good standing at the last college or university you attended; § Have completed or will complete prior to transfer at least 30 semester units (45 quarter units) of general education (GE) requirements with a grade of "C" or better. The 30 semester units must include English composition, oral communication, critical thinking and college-level mathematics; § All 60 transferable semester college units must be completed by: end of the previous spring for Fall Quarter*, end of the previous summer for Winter Quarter, end of the previous fall for Spring Quarter, and end of the previous fall for Summer Quarter.
|
二 如果学生没有完成60个学分,美国大学会按照Lower-division transferstudent, 来处理,这个申请的截止时间比较晚!
If you have fewer than 60 transferable semester college units (90 quarter units) prior to transfer, you are considered a lower-division transferstudent, and the following requirements must be satisfied:
§ Have a college grade-point average of 2.0 or better in all transferable units attempted (2.4 or better for non-California residents); § Be in good standing at the last college or university you attended; § Must complete the General Education requirements in Mathematics and Written Communication, unless exempt from taking the ELM and EPT placement tests, by:
§ Meet the freshman admission requirements in effect for the term for which application is being made; or § Must be eligible as a freshman at the time of high school graduation; or § Had a qualifying eligibility index at the time of high school graduation (combination of GPA and test scores if needed) and has made up any missing college preparatory subject requirements with a grade of C or better. One baccalaureate level course of at least three semester (4 quarter) units is usually considered equivalent to one year of high school study. *No summer work in Progress is allowed for Fall applicants. |
International Students must have 2.5 cumulative grade point average or higher in all transferable college course work, and may be subject to additional admission criteria.
All undergraduate students must complete testing requirements unless exempt.

Important Deadlines for Transfer Applicants
Applicants may be provisionally admitted based on academic preparation and courses planned for completion. All accepted applicants are required to submit an official transcript of all college level work completed.
Admission will be rescinded for all applicants who are found not to be eligible after the final transcript has been evaluated.
A Student Intent to Register (SIR)and an Enrollment Confirmation Deposit (ECD) is now required of all admitted transfers. Those who respond past the ECD deadline may be placed on an enrollment waiting list, deferred to a subsequent term or not permitted to register.

Cal Poly Pomona
Transfer requirements to enter California State Polytechnic University, Pomona
First: Start completing "The Golden Four" as soon as you can. Complete one course in each of the four areas below:
1 English 1
2 English 2, 31; Business 32, Philosophy 7
3 Speech 1, 2, 6, 11
4 Math 2, 7, 8, 11, 13, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24, 52
Second: Complete 60 transferable semester units with a minimum 2.0 GPA.
Important: The first and second steps above must be completed by the end of Spring (except architecture-see below) for Fall admission and by the end of Summer for Spring admission.
Third: Complete coursework in the major along with your general education requirements. To satisfy GE, you have two choices: IGETC or CSU GE.
Fourth: Apply on time. For priority consideration, students should apply in November for admission in Fall and in August for admission in Spring. Most CSU's accept applications beyond the months of November and August, but the sooner a student applies, the chances are better for admission. Students applying for impacted majors (see below) should apply during the months of November and August.

Additional Transfer Tidbits
The major of architecture requires the Golden Four to be completed by the end of Fall for admission the following Fall. For example, students that want to enter Fall 2009 must have the Golden Four completed by the end of Fall 2008.
