Talk About Study：谈论学习

a. -How many courses do you have for this semester?

你们这学期上几门课？

-Eight altogether.

总共八门。

-How are they proportioned?

怎么分配的？

-Six are compulsory, two optional. 

六门必学，两门选修。

b. I'll have to take a make-up exam in logic. I failed.

我逻辑学要补考。我不及格。

c. Guess who comes first in the exam? Janet comes top and Mary second.

d. Tom is a promising student, he’s particularly good at math, and maybe he's gifted in that.
