南非７８０多万人参加艾滋病病毒免费测试

新华网约翰内斯堡４月１６日电（记者李建民）南非国家艾滋病委员会１６日发表声明说，南非政府推出的艾滋病病毒免费测试活动进展顺利，截至目前，参加测试的人已经超过７８０万人，较２０１０年４月增加了一倍以上。
南非国家艾滋病委员会１６日在南非海滨城市东伦敦召开了《南非艾滋病和结核病国家防治计划》执行情况的最新报告会，南非副总统莫特兰蒂主持了会议。南非国家艾滋病委员会在会上宣布，已经有超过７８０万人参加了艾滋病病毒测试活动，其中１４０万人检测呈阳性。
据南非国家艾滋病委员会介绍，南非艾滋病病毒测试活动并非是强制性的，有将近９００万人接受了询问和辅导，但是没有进行检测。
艾滋病病毒免费测试活动由南非卫生部和南非商业联合会联合发起，旨在提供免费的艾滋病病毒检测和相关知识咨询。由于２０１０年世界杯足球赛的举行，该活动曾一度中止，但是在世界杯结束后很快得到了恢复。
南非是世界上受艾滋病影响最严重的国家。根据官方公布的数据，２００９年南非艾滋病病毒携带者和艾滋病病人已达５７０万。
