今天下午，我们参加了单位统一组织的〈〈深切哀悼四川汶川大地震遇难同胞〉〉的活动，给我们心里的除了震撼，还是震撼。
为表达全国各族人民对四川汶川大地震遇难同胞的深切哀悼，中国国务院决定，2008年5月19日至21日为全国哀悼日。在此期间，全国和各驻外机构下半旗志哀，停止公共娱乐活动，外交部和中国驻外使领馆设立吊唁簿。5月19日14时28分起，全国人民默哀3分钟，届时汽车、火车、舰船鸣笛，防空警报鸣响。这是中华人民共和国首次向普通的老百姓降旗志哀，也说明中国政府对这次受灾群众的关心和关注。
14时28分起，我们面对东长安街，为四川汶川大地震遇难者默哀3分钟。这时，汽车笛声长鸣，防空警报在城市上空鸣响。站在那里，我们感受到对生命的尊重，对死者的尊重，对普通老百姓的尊重。
一声声长笛是一声声对生命的呐喊，我们看到四川汶川大地震，我们的政府表现出的开明与开放，第一次电视、媒体的全程报道、第一次接受国外援助人员、第一次为普通的受难者全国志哀，表现出政府对生命的尊重。
一声声长笛是一声声对生命的呼唤，我们看到在地震到来的时候，用身体救学生的教师、为了救人而毫无顾家的警察、奋不顾身的解放军战士、牺牲自己保护孩子的伟大母亲等等等等，他们是用自己的生命在挽救他人的生命，这是中华民族不屈的精神体现。
一声声长笛是一声声对亲人的悼念，地震造成多少人与亲人失去了联系，地震使多少人从此天各一方，截至18日14时汶川地震32476人遇难，220109人受伤，这是我们必须面对的现实和痛苦，是我们不可回避的问题，但我们用举国哀悼的方式为亲人们送行，愿他们在天国一路走好。
一声声长笛是一声声对生者的慰问，地震发生后，全国人民体现出空前的团结，大灾有大爱，总书记、总理亲临地震前线指挥救灾，人民解放军11万多人赶赴第一线，各行各业虽然无法像救援人员一样前往灾区，但是全国各地的许多人都在奉献着爱心，他们纷纷解囊，民政部报告，截至19日13时，全国共接受社会各界捐赠款物108.34亿元，其中捐款89.27亿元，物资折款19.09亿元。截至18日21时，民政部、军队和各地民政部门共向灾区调运救灾帐篷25.4319万顶、棉被72.35万床、棉衣178.36万件、价值3421.5万元的食品和饮用水，以及价值18424.01万元的其他物资。大家相信，爱能带来力量、带来希望。
3分钟的震撼是短暂的，但在我们的心里却代表着永恒，一声声长笛是中华民族挺起脊梁的冲锋号、是战胜灾害的宣言书、是政府与人民心心相连的誓言和对生命尊重的集结号。有如此的政府和可爱的人民，再大的困难都是可以战胜的。

From 28 past 14, we stand in silent tribute for 3 minutes for the heavy earthquake victim in Wenchuan of Sichuan in the face of East Chang‘an Avenue. At this moment, the flute sound of car chirps long, the air defence warning rings over the city. Stand there, we experience the respect to the life, the respect to the dead, respect to ordinary people.
