一个普通的日子。
然而对于开封市尉氏县的艾滋病患者来说，却是个欢喜的日子。
下午3时整，年过花甲的老中医李发枝教授刚一走进尉氏县中医院的大门，几十位或坐在架子车上，或蹲在地上，或站在门口张望着的患者纷纷围了上来，李发枝一看到熟悉的朱老汉、韩女士等，热情地与他们打招呼，边走边问。“这周情况咋样？”“上次开的药吃了好点没？”
这是河南中医学院第三附属医院老专家李发枝义务巡诊的一个镜头，至此，老人雷打不动在每周二坚持到尉氏县、上蔡县中医院为艾滋病患者治病已经七个年头了。
这个镜头映射的是艾滋病患者对李发枝教授由衷的期盼与信任。作为河南省中医药治疗艾滋病试点项目的首席专家，李发枝以其崇高的敬业精神、无私的奉献精神，大爱的炽热情怀，矢志不移扬国粹，中医治艾苦求索，在7年漫漫防治艾滋病的道路上谱写了动人篇章，收获了累累硕果。
●中医治艾 勇于担当
2002年，河南中医界将研究的触角伸向艾滋病，旨在用中医中药的办法为艾滋病患者解除病痛，提高生活质量，使我国传统医学能在艾滋病治疗、研究领域绽放光彩,造福患者。
2002年的深秋，在省中医管理局的支持下，河南中医学院第三附属医院李发枝教授和其他三位专家驱车来到新蔡县，为当地50多名艾滋病患者进行把脉问诊。至此，拉开了中医药治疗艾滋病的序幕。
这是李发枝第一次接触艾滋病患者。那一个个愁眉紧缩的面容，那一双双无奈无助的眼神，深深印刻在李发枝的心里。
实地调查之后，他将50位病人的临床表现，包括病程、症状、体征、舌质舌苔、脉象进行详细登记，在中医理论指导下进行综合分析，深入研究探讨。按照“辨证求因，循因论治”的原则，提出艾滋病的病因病机学说，初步认为艾滋病是感染特殊“疫毒”所引起的类似于中医学“虚劳病”的病症，但其病因及症状又与传统“虚劳病”不同，这种疫毒损伤人体正气，直接侵入血液。所以，根据中医学理论，要扶正与祛邪并用。在治疗原则上，应以健脾益气为主，兼滋阴养血，祛风清热，化湿解毒。经过科学论证，苦心钻研，在李发枝的带领下，研制出“益艾康”胶囊。并通过省卫生厅疾控处，把药送到驻马店、周口的艾滋病人手中，经过200余例患者服药一个月后的疗效观察，反馈的效果非常好。
2004年10月，河南省中医药治疗艾滋病试点项目全面启动。此项目是财政部、卫生部、国家中医药管理局下达的关爱项目之一，由中央财政安排专项资金，为艾滋病毒感染者和病人提供免费中医药治疗。当时国家中医药管理局给河南安排一批患者加入试点项目。河南省中医管理局高度重视项目工作，成立领导小组和办公室，办公室设在中医一附院，并从省中医一、二、三附属医院，中医药研究院和省疾控中心遴选出30位专家组成专家组，首次在周口市召开河南省中医药治疗艾滋病项目启动会。会上提出中医药防治艾滋病要做到“三个结合”：即临床与科研相结合，中药固定制剂与辨证施治相结合，中医治疗与西医治疗相结合。
李发枝教授那时刚刚退休，开始没打算参加项目组。但是省中医管理局坚持让他挂帅参与项目组的工作。当时，省卫生厅副厅长、省中医管理局局长夏祖昌言辞恳切，他对李发枝说：“这不是你个人的事，这项工作意义重大，是对病人负责、对社会负责的善举，要让中医药在治疗艾滋病方面充分发挥作用，为艾滋病患者解除病痛。”
肩负重托，义无反顾。至此，作为首席专家，李发枝教授带领一个团队，勤求古训，辨证施治，大胆探索，走出了一条中医药治疗艾滋病的新路子。
李发枝和专家组成员每周固定时间来到尉氏进行中医药的系统观察。专家组成员遍布三个自然村，这里的艾滋病人服用中药益艾康胶囊或加服辨证施治汤剂后，疗效较好，发烧的患者不发烧了，身体没劲的也渐渐有了力气。同年10月，中医药治疗艾滋病在全省几个县区全面推开。

(上接第一版）2005年7月，当他看到一些艾滋病患者因腹泻而痛苦不堪的时候，心里感到特别沉重，决定展开对中医药治疗艾滋病重症患者的新探索。
于是，他与专家组成员每周二下午都要到上蔡县中医院艾滋病病房，对艾滋病顽固性腹泻、长期发热、重症咳喘、严重腹水等重症进行临床治疗。他结合临床，在翻阅了大量古今文献的基础上，配伍了一个治疗顽固性腹泻的处方，制成“泻痢康胶囊”，并对几十例艾滋病顽固性腹泻患者进行临床观察，结果有效控制率达90%以上。以前，在村卫生所至少有十多名因机会性感染而输液的病人，而经过中医治疗之后，来输液的病人在逐渐减少。
“李大夫，你就是俺的救命恩人，是你们中医让俺又活了过来，现在都可以下地了，谢谢您了。”据了解，这是一名女性艾滋病患者，2007年患艾滋病合并空泡性脊髓病，四肢瘫痪，吞咽困难，家里已经开始为其准备后事了，经李教授用中药辨证治疗5个月后，体能已完全恢复。
临床效果显示，经过中医、中西医结合等疗法治疗，腹泻患者的症状得到不同程度的控制。
●精诚合作 勇于攻关
李发枝清瘦的脸上，有一双温和的眼睛，嘴角总带着慈祥的笑意。花白的头发，闪烁着光泽。李教授今年69岁，步履轻健，走起路来，如小伙一般敏捷。

中医药治疗艾滋病试点项目组，自始至终坚持以中医辨证施治为指导，充分发挥中医药临床优势，突出中医药特色，坚持用中医药的方法治疗艾滋病，受到国家中医药管理局的充分肯定。
2007年4月17日，国家中医管理局在南阳召开全国中医药治疗艾滋病试点项目工作总结和汇报会。会上，卫生部副部长、国家中医药管理局局长王国强对河南省中医药治疗艾滋病项目组给予高度评价。
河南省中医药治疗艾滋病试点项目之所以能够取得令人瞩目的成就，是省卫生厅和省中医管理局按照省委、省政府和国家中医药管理局的部署，在全面落实“四免一关怀”政策的同时，根据艾滋病的特点和河南实际，积极构建中医药治疗艾滋病管理和医疗体系的结果。
在中医药理论的光泽沐浴下，他们精勤不倦，勇于实践，探索出宝贵的经验。
在治疗上随着试点项目的实施和长期大量病人救治的临床实践，不断深化对中医药治疗艾滋病规律性的认识，在项目实施过程中多次组织全省知名中医药专家对艾滋病进行研讨，及时整理相关病例资料、总结临床救治经验，以李发枝教授为主的省临床专家组，探索并提出了艾滋病的中医辨证施治规律，形成了河南省《中医药治疗艾滋病常见病症辨证治疗要点》，以此作为全省中医药临床治疗指导，同时对《要点》坚持边试用、边修订，不断将新的救治经验、诊疗手段和方法充实到其中，从而使之更好地指导临床救治工作。在用药上坚持以汤药和项目组研制的中药制剂益艾康胶囊为主。
春华秋实。中医药治疗艾滋病试点项目实施七年来，河南已经组建了一支精干的中医药治疗艾滋病技术队伍，制定了一套基本完整的工作制度，建立了一个符合河南艾滋病防治工作实际的运行机制，总结出了一个基本成熟的技术方案，筛选出了一批有效方药和治疗方法。中医药积极参与艾滋病防治工作，为不能接受抗病毒治疗的病人提供了关怀治疗，增加了艾滋病临床治疗手段，在一定程度上扩大了救治范围，降低了治疗费用，同时提高了病人对抗病毒治疗的依从性。为构建符合省情的艾滋病防治工作体系起到了积极作用。
今年69岁的李发枝老人一谈起中医药，字字句句流露出对祖国传统医学的挚爱之情和对艾滋病患者的博大爱心。
他说，长期规范的治疗对艾滋病人病毒载量水平具有明显降低作用，对CD4+T细胞计数有稳定和提升作用。同时，机会性感染发生频次明显减少，症状体征明显改善，生活质量显著提高，艾滋病人的病死率逐年下降，且无明显不良反应，而且，费用低廉。据统计，单纯接受中医药治疗的艾滋病人药费每人每天低于10元，较抗病毒治疗和抗机会性感染治疗费用具有明显优势。河南中医药治疗艾滋病的研究和探索，为全国范围开展中医药治疗艾滋病工作积累了经验，为战胜艾滋病做出了中医工作者应有的贡献。
●淡泊名利 宁静致远
淡泊以明志，宁静以致远。
用这句话形容李发枝老人的精神境界再恰当不过。
该项目组的徐立然教授说起李发枝老师是满心的钦佩。他说，李老师最可贵之处，在于他的敬业精神和执著精神。他退休后，把大部分精力都放在中医药治疗艾滋病项目工作中，除了每周固定在本院坐诊时间外，一直坚持每周二去开封尉氏县巡诊，及时了解患者病情，详细察看患者病历，以获得临床、科研的第一手资料。他这样一趟一趟地往乡下跑，没有报酬，没有补助，节假日也阻挡不了他的脚步。
省卫生厅副厅长、省中医管理局局长夏祖昌讲述了这样一件往事。那是在2010年的五一节，他有事要找李发枝，一打电话，得知李发枝正在尉氏县给病人看病呢，就关切地问道：“放假了你怎么不休息？”没想到电话那端的李发枝直率地说：“我们可以放假，病人能放假吗？” 一句不怎么“好听”的回答，浸透着李发枝老人对患者极度的热忱和高度负责的精神。
而这种无私奉献精神的背后，是源于李发枝对中医药事业的坚定信念与无限忠诚，源于他学识的渊博、精湛的医术，他的中医理论功底深厚，精通《伤寒论》和《金匮要略》等中医经典，并能根据古方适应症灵活运用，助他一次又一次突破中医药治疗艾滋病的“瓶颈”。由于他处处遵循实事求是的原则而不懈探索，2005年，他执笔起草的《艾滋病常见病中医辨证治疗要点》问世。该要点从中医对艾滋病的认识到常见症型特点，从辨证治疗方法到一方一药，为中医药治疗艾滋病提供了理论依据和治疗方案。
七年寒来暑往，始终坚守在中医药治疗艾滋病的第一线，对于一名年过花甲的老人来讲实属不易，显现出李发枝老人医德昭昭，医心赤诚。他把一腔热血献给祖国的医学事业，献给普普通通的艾滋病患者，其德馨香，其行圣洁，不仅赢得了患者的由衷信任，更是凸显了一位名老中医可贵的朴实无华的大医精诚本色。
对中医药治疗艾滋病的前景展望，令李发枝老人信心百倍，他豪情满怀地说：“中医药治疗艾滋病是我国特有的优势和资源，不仅疗效肯定而且费用低廉，为不能服用抗病毒药物的病人提供了重要的治疗方法和手段。”
