数据显示 死亡率感染率在下降
自被发现之后，艾滋病已经造成2500万人死亡，另外尚有3400万人感染。艾滋病发现30周年很多人看成是个绝望情况。然而人们抗击艾滋病的战斗比任何预期要好很多。十年之前，人们认为非洲南部几个国家有一半人要死于艾滋。如今，死亡率已经下降。2005年艾滋病致死210万人，然而在2009年（目前可得到的最新数据）死亡人数为180万。大约500万人的生命因为药物治疗而被成功挽救。在33个艾滋病疫情最严重的国家中，新近感染率正从其高峰转而下降了25%或者更多。

Even more exciting is that recent studies have shown that drugs used to treat HIV will likely be used to prevent the spread of AIDS. If the study is confirmed, then the drugs can be the same as the vaccine against AIDS.
Application of new scientific discoveries is the role of drug
If AIDS was defeated, and this is certainly due to science, a positive combination of action and selfless devotion. Science from the efforts of pharmaceutical companies around the world.
