临汾市传染病医院是我省收治艾滋病患者的定点医院之一，而“绿色港湾”则是该院传染病科在临汾城东建立的一个专为艾滋病患者住院治疗的专业病区，目前已经收治数十位来自全省各地的艾滋病患者，病区内设专门为艾滋病患儿读书学习专用的“红丝带小学”，收治艾滋病患儿16名。
“医生，我浑身疼，你们快来救救我，帮帮我吧！”3月7日晚上，临汾市传染病医院艾滋病科主任马丽琴，接到了一个来自运城市闻喜县艾滋病患者的求救电话。接到电话后，院方立即决定，“尽快组织医护力量，把这个艾滋病孤儿接来治疗。”
8日早8时，马丽琴和护士长王霞带上必备的急救药品和救护器材，乘坐救护车，紧急赶赴闻喜县阳隅乡患者的家里，本报记者也随同前往。10时左右，在当地村民的指引下，一行人终于找到了患者的家。
记者看到，整个院落破败不堪，一堵土夯的墙已经满是豁口，院里因为多年没有人打理，显得十分凌乱，仅有的一孔窑洞也已经破烂不堪。进入窑洞后，里边的破败更让人触目惊心，家中的温度还没有室外高，窑洞里几乎没有一件像样的家具，生活用品零散地堆放在角落里，上面已经落满了灰尘。
打电话的患者名叫王亮（化名），今年17岁，由于常年没人照顾，他吃喝拉撒全都在炕上，枕头边放着一堆干粮，炕的一侧放着一个尿盆。他自己可以爬起来勉强做饭吃，在土炕旁边的一口铁锅里，还有大半锅没吃完剩下的汤面，旁边放着一棵已经晾干了的白菜，一个瓷盆里放着几个已经发霉变味的馒头……
经了解，王亮的父母患艾滋病于几年前去世，因母婴传播，王亮也感染了艾滋。看到王亮有气无力地躺在炕上痛苦着，马丽琴和王霞两位大夫立即开始给他进行体检，患者的情况已经比较危急，口腔也已严重真菌感染，马丽琴立即给他输上液体。
由于王亮父母双亡，姐姐在外地打工，大伯前几天遭遇车祸，正在处理事故，村里几乎找不到一位他的家人。马丽琴只好找到村委会，村委会主任代表王亮的家属签了救治协议。“太感谢医院了，这个可怜的孩子太需要帮助了！”村委主任对医院的善举连说“感谢”。
12时30分，医护人员将王亮抬上担架，用救护车上的急救设备给他吸氧，同时立即启程返回临汾“绿色港湾”，安置他入院接受正规治疗。
