April 23, 2010 afternoon, Health Minister Chen Zhu met with the outgoing United Nations AIDS Programme (UNAIDS) office in China National Coordinator Dr. Bernhard Schwartländer (Bernhard Schwartlander), would like to thank the Chinese made AIDS prevention and control contribution.

Chen Zhu, said Bernhard Schwartländer in China during the active coordination of the international community to support China's AIDS prevention and control strategies and action plans to promote the integration and coordination of international cooperation projects; advocate abolition of AIDS travel restrictions, to protect the rights of people living with HIV; to mobilize non-governmental organizations AIDS, AIDS awareness and education planning organizations; to the international community to promote AIDS prevention and control of my progress, effectively promote China's AIDS prevention and control and health development.

Bernhard Schwartländer thanked China for its support and cooperation of its work, and joint efforts to be proud of the progress. He also said that in the back after the UNAIDS Secretariat, will continue to support China's AIDS prevention work.

Dr. Bernhard Schwartländer 2007-2010 served as the national coordinator of UNAIDS China. Prior to that, served as the global fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Fund Performance Evaluation and Policy Officer, World Health Organization, Division of AIDS, UNAIDS director of assessment and strategic information, the German national AIDS program director and other staff.

Dr. Bernhard Schwartländer after leaving, Mark (Mark Stirling) will take over Dr. UNAIDS China Office of the National Coordinator.

　　2010年4月23日下午，卫生部部长陈竺会见即将离任的联合国艾滋病规划署（UNAIDS）驻华办事处国家协调员施贺德博士（Bernhard Schwartlander），衷心感谢其为中国艾滋病防控工作做出的贡献。

　　陈竺表示，施贺德在华期间，积极协调国际社会支持中国艾滋病防控策略和行动计划，推动国际合作项目的整合协调；倡导取消艾滋病感染者旅行限制，保障艾滋病感染者的权利；动员非政府组织参与艾滋病防治工作，策划组织艾滋病宣传教育活动；向国际社会宣传我艾滋病防控进展，有力地促进中国艾滋病防控和卫生事业发展。

　　施贺德感谢中方对其工作的支持与合作，并为双方共同努力所取得的进步感到自豪。他还表示在回到联合国艾滋病规划署总部以后，将继续关注和支持中国艾滋病防治工作。

　　施贺德博士在2007－2010年间担任联合国艾滋病规划署驻华国家协调员。此前，曾任全球抗击艾滋病、结核病和疟疾基金绩效评估和政策主任、世界卫生组织艾滋病司司长、联合国艾滋病规划署评估和战略信息部主任、德国国家艾滋病项目主管等职。

　　施贺德博士离任后，马克（Mark Stirling）博士将接任联合国艾滋病规划署驻华办事处国家协调员的工作。
