家家趴在桌上写作业。在“关爱之家”，他的上学、就医问题得到保障
结石、乙肝、艾滋、手足口病，每一波重症疾病的危机里，几乎每个家长都犹如惊弓之鸟，而其中一些宝宝成为无辜的承当者。健康环境问题的不断曝光，使危机宝宝成为了这个年度其中一个最惹人注目的新社会命题，在他们身上集中了医学、经济、社会、卫生政策、行政管理等各方矛盾，同时也投射出这个社会的包容度。
2008年12月1日是世界艾滋病日20周年纪念日，在之前举行的世界艾滋病大会上，救助艾滋宝宝成为焦点。12岁的家家在台湾，9岁的美丽在河南，他们都是“关爱之家”救助者，却面临着不同的处境。在他们的身后，有着9000多名中国艾滋宝宝。
台湾高雄，入夜。
只有家家(化名)的哭声，回荡在他居住的小区里。上一次被揍，是在爸爸行窃时“望风”失败；这次挨打，是因祖父酗酒被扯破耳朵。瘦弱的家家，总是无法抵御肢残父亲与酒瘾祖父的拳脚伺候，左邻右舍耳语流传着，家家是“惯窃”家族的孩子，父母经常泡在毒品中不省人事。
终于有一天，家家发烧了，父亲拽着他的耳朵举起来就往墙上摔，扯掉了耳廓旁的一块肉，送医急救后，2005年夏天，医师诊断出家家艾滋病发。
河南郑州，深秋。
9岁的美丽（化名），依偎在妈妈身边。2001年，他们一家三口相继被筛检出感染艾滋病，卖过血的母亲因为艾滋病发丧失视力，而同样卖过血的父亲早在2002年就已过世。镜头前，漂亮的美丽，双眼无神，她已不懂得笑了。
美丽的妈妈陈氏，这个纯朴的河南妇女，没想到自己会卖血感染艾滋病，还把这个病传给了女儿。母婴传播是艾滋病三种传播途径之一。台大医院小儿部感染科医师吕俊毅表示，在不进行干预的情况下，HIV（人类免疫缺陷病毒）母婴传播发生率通常在30%至40%之间波动。
一个数据显示，全球每年有240万感染HIV的妇女生育孩子，造成每年约80万个新生儿感染HIV，HIV感染使得全球新生儿死亡率增加75%。去年全球约有37万名儿童被诊断为艾滋病毒感染者，而在中国，约有9000名15岁以下的艾滋病儿童。
最新的研究结果表明，中国艾滋病感染者中女性所占的比例从7.1%上升为35%，10年间翻了5倍，其中近九成为育龄女性。在台湾，1988年，台湾首度发现母子垂直感染的艾滋宝宝个案，到了2005年，注射毒品者感染艾滋病的人数呈现爆炸性增长，开始涌现母婴垂直感染的疑似艾滋宝宝的婴儿潮。台湾“卫生署”统计显示，到2008年10月底，台湾9岁以下的艾滋宝宝累积人数已达39人。
重生
耳朵缺少了一小块肉，身体里多了艾滋病毒之后，家家终于被台湾“社会局”看见了。他被带离南台湾的家乡，开始过新生活。
碍于法令，育幼院无法收容艾滋病儿童，家家被“社会局”转送到专门收容艾滋病感染者的台湾“关爱之家”协会，他开始喊“关爱之家”创办人杨捷为“咪咪”。
20年前，杨捷安置了台湾第一个遭排挤无法返家的艾滋病患田启元(已病逝)之后，于2003年成立台湾“关爱之家”协会，接收艾滋病孕妇生下的弃婴，3年来共安置了53个疑似艾滋宝宝。
一下子拥有太多关心，从小被打到大的家家，突然在爱中迷路了。
“我没想到当艾滋宝宝这么好，这么多人爱我。”家家服用抗病毒药物治疗，病况日趋稳定后，开始故态复萌，偷拿“咪咪”和护士的钱，跑到网吧打游戏。“我是艾滋宝宝。”家家还天真地告诉同学，以为别人会给他更多“爱”，没想到恐慌却开始蔓延。
2005年年底，家家因感冒引发肺部感染，被医院列为“疑似肺结核”病例通报，事后证明家家并未罹患肺结核，“家家是艾滋宝宝”的消息却曝光了。
“让家家上学是前所未有的危机。”学校家长群起抗议造成校方的强大压力，2005年12月，家家被迫辍学，在“关爱之家”等了好几个月，“教育局”答应派来为他“在家教育”的老师，始终不曾出现。
眼泪
2006年2月，艾滋宝宝家家辍学的消息经媒体报道，引起一位国小校长的关注。家家好不容易又背起书包和课本，回到学校上课。
下午放学后，家家把书包扔在计算机桌上开始做作业，计算机桌后方有六张病床。晚上6点半，家家需要和着白开水吞下一把抗病毒药物。“你再不乖，妈妈在天上都会难过得流泪”，工作人员教育着刚犯错的家家。上周六，家家离家两天，没吃药，因免疫力下降，嘴角出现了好几处溃疡，被送到急诊室就医。
家家很爱妈妈，他打开小皮包，安静地望着妈妈的照片，眼泪“咕噜咕噜”地滑过脸颊。去年家家两度返回高雄老家，一次是参加曾祖父的丧礼，另一次则是为病逝的母亲奔丧，这是他生平首度深刻感受到生离死别的伤痛，只有上网打游戏时，才会偶尔微笑着。“你再不吃药，就没有药可以换了”，医生提醒着正在服用二线抗病毒药物的家家，但正值叛逆期的他丝毫不在意。
家家没有同龄的玩伴，“关爱之家”除了大人之外，就是疑似艾滋宝宝的小小孩。“我大便”，已确认感染艾滋病的两岁半小女孩湾湾(化名)正在牙牙学语，她拿起一片尿布，忙着找大人帮她更换。湾湾的父母因注射毒品感染艾滋病后不知去向，她被安置到“关爱之家”。
台湾的药瘾艾滋病孕妇大多使用安非他命、海洛因等毒品，宝宝一出生就必须忍受打喷嚏、打呵欠、流泪、躁动不安、过度哭泣、抽搐等“新生儿药物戒断症候群”，有些宝宝成了心脏瓣膜闭锁不全、语言学习缓慢等发展迟缓的“慢飞天使”。三个月时被确诊感染艾滋后，抗病毒药物和奶瓶就成了湾湾的生命食粮。
2005年到2008年，3年间共有53个毒瘾艾滋病孕妇生下的疑似艾滋宝宝，如同不发芽的种子涌入“关爱之家”。与此同时，台湾另一个爱慈基金会设立的宝宝中心，近3年来也安置了25名疑似艾滋宝宝，经确诊未感染艾滋却又无法返回原生家庭的孩子们，又面临了找人领养或转送至育幼院的难题。
除了家家之外，令杨捷挂念的，还有从2003年就资助的河南驻马店市9岁女孩美丽。“台湾的艾滋宝宝可享有免费医疗，但是大陆的艾滋宝宝人数更多、范围更广，他们陷入失亲、失学、疾病与贫困的艰难环境，也缺乏基础的医疗与药物治疗。”杨捷说，中国大陆的艾滋宝宝，更需要各界的关心与援助。
告别
当死亡变得如呼吸般平常，而空气中却闻不到一点儿人情味的时候，河南驻马店的9岁女孩美丽与失明的母亲，告别了家乡，来到郑州开始新生活。
1990年初，正当中原大地的农民们纷纷挽起衣袖，跳进“想要奔小康，就去卖血浆”的献血大潮时，艾滋病毒也找到了一条康庄大道。老杨(化名)和妻子陈氏(化名)在河南农村种地，为了还债，夫妻俩在1993年一起卖血。“我一天卖一次，或三四天卖一次，1994年查出有丙肝，就不让卖了。”1999年，陈氏生下美丽；2001年，政府大普查，老杨、陈氏和美丽都确诊感染了艾滋病，次年，老杨发病去世。
2003年，台湾“关爱之家”创办人杨捷，将照护艾滋宝宝的触角扩及中国大陆河南、云南、广州等地，美丽是当年接受资助的第一批艾滋病遗孤，每月有130元人民币的补助款。
疾病最大的副作用是贫穷；活着就是一种抗争。
美丽居住在驻马店市一个小村庄，那里原本有50多人，1990年初迄今，农田里多出了20多个小土堆，还有30多人活着，等着和死神握手。
整整5年，母女俩就靠补助款生活。3年前，升上小学二年级的美丽开始发烧、咽不下东西，发病后在家休养了两年。
新问题
今年年初，中国经历了数十年来最严重的一场雪灾，美丽和妈妈在老家的日子过得像一只破了口的麻布袋，装不满希望。3月底，9岁的美丽和母亲被接到了位于郑州的“关爱之家”，回到小学上二年级。
从福利院转送到“关爱之家”的8岁艾滋孤儿小巧(化名)，有了美丽做伴当姐妹，一起睡觉、吃饭、上学、做功课，陈氏则陪在美丽身旁，“现在日子过得挺好”。但对未来，这位母亲并没有设想过。
今年暑假开始，一名还在大学念书的女孩来到“关爱之家”担任家教，负责指导美丽与小巧的课业，她是香港智行基金会拨款资助就学的河南艾滋病遗孤，和美丽有着类似的成长过程。
在河南，“关爱之家”的工作人员为美丽的成绩而雀跃，“美丽每次考试都是班上前三名喔。”听到有人夸赞，美丽微笑的嘴角弯成一条倒悬的彩虹。9岁的美丽，难得过上几个月的安稳生活，但是还有更多隐而未现的“美丽”，正面临失亲、贫穷与疾病的考验，他们大多生活在贫困地区，除了承受失去父母的痛苦外，还面临生活困窘甚至辍学的困境。他们过早地体会了孤独，亲人疏离，朋友缺少，同学躲避……
家家在题为《勇于认错》的作文里第一段写着：“做错事要勇敢面对，遇到困难的事，不可以逃避。”前台湾“卫生署”署长、现任“立法委员”涂醒哲痛批，“台北市政府和校方拒绝家家入学的做法错误、离谱而且粗暴。”而同样的就学权问题存在于中国大陆。
在台湾，12岁的家家正在填写新字；在河南，9岁的美丽还在努力演算数学习题。他们是不幸的，同时也是幸运的，至少他们解决了目前就医、上学问题。根据联合国儿童基金会统计，平均每一分钟就有1名儿童因艾滋病死亡，而其中仅有少于5%的艾滋病儿童可接受医疗。
2008年8月，第17届世界艾滋病大会召开，联合国儿童基金会艾滋项目负责人吉米库克说，“这次大会第一次把儿童的问题提到了议程。”他特别提及，“第二代”艾滋病遗孤问题仍需要更多的关注，那些艾滋病毒抗体呈阳性、却不知道自己已经感染了艾滋病毒、也不知道自己正处在传播病毒的危险中的青少年，带来了一整套我们从未处理过的新问题。
