世卫组织授彭丽媛为艾滋病防治亲善大使

　　6月3日，世界卫生组织（简称“世卫组织”）总干事陈冯富珍在瑞士日内瓦世卫组织总部授予中国著名女高音歌唱家彭丽媛女士世卫组织结核病和艾滋病防治亲善大使称号。卫生部副部长尹力、中国驻日内瓦代表团大使何亚非及世卫组织高级官员等出席了授予仪式。

　　世卫组织亲善大使通常是文学艺术领域或演艺届、体育届的公众知名人士，他们致力于宣传世卫组织的策略、目标和重点工作，传达相关活动的信息，以提高公众知晓率。

Professor Peng Liyuan WHO Goodwill Ambassador for AIDS Prevention

June 3, the World Health Organization ("WHO"), the Director-General Margaret Chan, WHO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland granted the famous soprano Miss Peng Liyuan WHO Goodwill Ambassador for AIDS prevention and treatment of TB and the title. Deputy Health Minister Yin Li, the Chinese Ambassador in Geneva, and WHO He Yafei attended the senior officials of the ceremony.

WHO Goodwill Ambassadors are usually literature or performing art sessions, sports sessions of public personalities, their commitment to promote WHO's strategy, objectives and priorities, communication-related activities, to raise public awareness.
