钟南山研究团队经过个半月调查前日首度就“怪病”向媒体公布进展情况（昨日新快报曾做详细报道）：非单纯精神因素，80%患者确实染病，但感染的为常见已知病毒，其中唾液可传播的EB病毒感染者过半。昨日报道出街后，关于病毒之争愈见激烈，许多网友提出：既然是常见病毒，为何此前一直没有检验出来，甚至卫生部送检美国的59份血样也未能查出？为何这种病毒在这个特异人群中表现得如此明显？
针对网友集中提到的几大争议点，新快报记者昨日再次独家专访了钟南山研究团队主要成员之一的呼吸疾病国家重点实验室研究员周荣博士。
送检美国血样为何没查出常见病毒？
主要目的是排查艾滋病病毒和未知病毒
周荣博士表示，他并不清楚卫生部送检美国的59份血样究竟排查了哪些项目，但就他了解，不少国内专家在对这个人群进行病因排查时或多或少会被误导。“这群患者在就诊的过程中大多声称自己患有"阴性艾滋病"，所以很多医院主要做的就是艾滋病毒的排查。”
周荣分析，卫生部送检的血样可能也侧重于排除艾滋病上，而且从患者的症状来看，大多患者都已经转为慢性，“慢性病毒在常规的血清检测中是比较难排查出来的”。
对此，流行病防治的相关专家也表示，不同方法、不同目的做出的结果不一样很正常。该专家还举例说，就拿登革热来说，感染早期，由于病毒还未发出，排查不到，感染晚期又有可能由于病毒转移同样排查不出。因此，做检验时要明确两点：一是要检查什么，二是要采什么样。“就我目前的了解，卫生部送往美国的血样主要以排查艾滋病病毒和发现未知病毒为目的，而钟南山研究团队的方向则是查找已知病毒，结果当然就不一样。”
为何这群人中表现明显？
身体素质低精神压力大加剧潜伏病毒病发
在接受新快报采访中，周荣博士多次主动提及，60名受检患者中，EB病毒感染率最高，这种病毒虽然不是国家的法定传染病，但具有的传染性较高，可通过唾液传播。且普遍存在，但大多数人可能症状不明显，甚至没有症状。那为什么在这个特异人群中表现如此明显呢？周荣解释道：“这与个人身体素质有关，就像流感病毒，不是每个感染的患者都严重到要住院治疗。”
周荣认为，这个群体的患者平均年龄在30—40岁之间，这个年龄层由于身体素质变低，精神压力变大，加剧了潜伏体内病毒的病发。“其实随着通讯网络的越来越发达，而且这群人文化程度也比较高，所以更容易聚在一起，互相影响。”
能否定性为恐艾症呢？
应先清除已知病毒再排查未知病毒
“这是否能定性为恐艾症呢？”新快报记者问。

周荣还举例说，像其中一个病友“林军”，他初到医院治疗时通过荧光PCR的检测方法，在白细胞中排查出淋球菌呈阳性，经过一段时间的治疗，淋球菌排查已呈阴性，但由于淋球菌已进入白细胞中，完全清除仍需时间。

不少“病友”也表示，仍然希望能做“未知病毒”的排查。而周荣再次强调：“散发性疾病做"未知病毒"排查不太现实。但据我所知，目前国内至少有3家研究机构在做，结果只能拭目以待了。我们这次的结论只是抛砖引玉，不是最终结论。欢迎其他机构继续关注，推翻结论还是验证结论都没关系。”
