艾滋病防治取得里程碑性突破

据《华尔街日报》(Wall Street Journal)报道，美国国家过敏及传染病研究所(National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases)主任傅东尼(Anthony Fauci)说：“此项新发现证实，我们很快将能够通过治疗已经感染了艾滋病的患者来减少艾滋病的传播。”
随机接受药物治疗的1763对两人中有一人是艾滋病患者的夫妇，将通过接受注射该药物来实现降低艾滋病传染的可能性。而从事与艾滋病相关工作的人士，也可通过接受药物治疗已达到预防艾滋病的作用。
此次研究是由北卡罗来纳大学全球健康与传染病研究所(Institute for Global Health and Infectious Diseases at the Univ of North Carolina)所长柯迈荣(Myron Cohen)领导，并在全球9个国家同时进行的。进行药物试验的对象包括夫妇，其中97%的为异性恋者。
其中有一半的随机抽取的夫妇对象立即使用反转录病毒药物进行治疗，而另一半则等待了一段时间以后再进行药物治疗。
在那些等待了一段时间才开始使用该药物的夫妇中，有27人从其伴侣处感染了艾滋病毒；而那些立即开始治疗的夫妇中，只有1人遭到感染。
研究结果显示，采用反转录病毒药物惊醒治疗的艾滋病人，其传染几率下降96.3%，可谓效果惊人。从病理学上来讲，采用反转录病毒药物治疗后的病人，其血液中HIV病毒的数量显著减少，从而降低了传染的几率。
鉴于该研究成果刚刚出炉，专家表示他们仍在分析数据及采用反转录病毒治疗的相关副作用。获取进一步采用该药物进行治疗的信息尚需数月。
