新加坡发现艾滋病病毒新变种

新华网新加坡１１月８日电（记者陈济朋）新加坡研究人员８日说，他们发现了一种新的艾滋病病毒变种。它是由当地原来常见的两种病毒毒株以基因重组的方式结合生成，其危害性也可能比现有的一般毒株强。
新加坡陈笃生医院研究人员说，他们对２００８年２月至２００９年８月提取的１０９名艾滋病病毒感染者血样样本进行分析，发现其中１５人感染了这种新型的艾滋病病毒。陈笃生医院是新加坡目前唯一收治艾滋病患者的公立医院。
研究人员说，此前新加坡最常见的有两种艾滋病病毒毒株，一种是Ｂ亚型，另一种则是由Ａ亚型和Ｅ亚型重组而成的ＣＲＦ０１－ＡＥ型。正是这两种原有的毒株再次发生基因重组，形成了新发现的这种毒株，它被命名为ＣＲＦ５１－０１Ｂ型。
据介绍，艾滋病病毒能通过基因重组的方式合成新的毒株，此前全世界已发现５０种不同亚型的毒株，新加坡发现的是第５１种。
初步研究显示，这种新的毒株危害性可能更强，但研究人员说，现有疗法对其依旧有效。不过，真正令人担心的是艾滋病病毒的重组，这意味着最初的病毒携带者已感染了两种不同亚型的艾滋病病毒，而最常见的传播途径是性接触。
根据新加坡卫生部今年９月公布的数据，总人口为５００万的新加坡目前有４８４５人确诊感染艾滋病病毒，其中性接触是主要传播方式。

SINGAPORE, Nov. 8 (Reporter Chen Jipeng) Singapore researchers said Wednesday that they had found a new HIV variants. It is common by the two local original strain of the virus to generate recombinant way to combine its dangers than the general strain of the existing strong.
