3名外国科学家获中科院2010年度国际科技合作奖

中新社北京1月27日电 中国科学院27日下午在北京宣布，授予日本东京大学岩本爱吉教授、美国华盛顿大学斯蒂芬·波特教授和澳大利亚昆士兰大学逯高清教授该院2010年度国际科技合作奖。
岩本爱吉教授现任国际艾滋病学会亚太地区代表、日本东京大学医科学研究所附属医院院长、日本艾滋病学会理事长、日本厚生劳动省艾滋病动向委员会委员长，他自2003年以来多次访问中国，为促成2005年中科院与日本东京大学之间合作协议的签署做出巨大贡献。目前，中科院和日本东京大学已决定从2010年开始进行为期5年的第二期合作。岩本教授积极致力于推动中科院北京生命科学院与东京大学医科学研究所的合作，使双方合作范围和规模在中日联合实验室的基础上进一步扩大，加深双方合作的深度和水平。
美国华盛顿大学第四纪研究中心教授斯蒂芬·波特在国际第四纪科学领域享有盛名，他是中科院院聘客座教授，这位热心中国黄土研究的专家2007年应邀作为“爱因斯坦讲席教授”来中科院讲学。多年来他与中国学者建立了良好的合作关系，对青年科学家与国际同行的交流与合作起到巨大推动作用，为中国第四纪科研事业做出突出贡献。
澳大利亚昆士兰大学副校长、纳米技术首席教授逯高清是纳米多孔材料、吸附与催化、新能源材料领域的国际著名科学家，他与中科院多个研究机构建立了长久的良好合作关系，特别是与金属研究所和大连化学物理研究所在清洁能源用材料领域进行密切合作，共同完成多项国际合作项目，成果丰硕。逯高清教授6年间到访中科院金属所19次，合作招收博士生7名、硕士生3名，已有4名研究生到其实验室进行1年以上的联合培养；他还积极推动澳科学院、工程院与中科院合作，推动中科院在太阳能光催化、储能等清洁能源用材料领域的发展。
中科院于2007年设立国际科技合作奖，旨在表彰和奖励在国际科技合作中做出突出贡献的杰出外籍科技与管理专家，促进该院国际科技合作进一步发展。此前已有8位外籍专家获奖，这8名获奖者还均获“中华人民共和国友谊奖”和“中华人民共和国国际科技合作奖”。(完)
