My definition of the original folklore is the native folklore songs sung by local artists and the processed ones are the popular folksongs sung by nationally known stars. With the second, the melody is more or less the same, but the touching feelings are almost gone.
根据我的分类，中国民间音乐可以分两种，本土民间音乐，以及歌星民间音乐。所谓本土民间音乐，就是当地人照世代传承下来那样子唱的，以及由知名歌星唱的多少有改编的民歌。第二类，旋律或许变化不大，但是令人产生共鸣的情感已经消失。
However with the popularity of the famous folk songs and the originality with them, some of the singers of the folklorish songs sprang into stardom quickly in late 1980s, with the Loess Plateau folk songs. And in 1990s, a female singer also became famous with the new interpretation of the Tibetan styles folk songs. There are also some more cases.

实际上，也有个别中国音乐家帮助发掘了中国西部民间音乐这个金矿，其中最有名的是王洛宾，他长期定居在中国西北地区，改编了好多青海和新疆的民歌。
Actually, some of the Chinese musicians did help mining the rich resources of West China folk music and one of the best known is Mr. Wang Luobin (王洛宾)who lived permanently in Northwest China and recomposed lots of Qinghai and Xinjiang folksongs.
