卫生部副部长见联合国艾滋病规划署亚太区主任

2010年7月1日上午，卫生部副部长尹力会见了到访的联合国艾滋病规划署（UNAIDS）亚太区主任史蒂夫 克劳斯（Steve Klaus）。
尹力感谢联合国艾滋病规划署长期以来对中国艾滋病防治工作的支持和帮助，并简要介绍了中国艾滋病流行情况、防控工作进展以及面临的困难和挑战。他表示，人们对艾滋病的认识经历了一个时间过程。中国政府取消对艾滋病感染者入境限制是基于对这种传染病科学防控的认识，经过深思熟虑后作出的决定。艾滋病不仅是一个医学问题，更牵涉到许多复杂的社会因素，综合性的社会防控措施尤其重要。进一步加强社会动员并强调全社会多部门的参与，是有效应对艾滋病的关键。卫生部积极鼓励社会团体和民间组织参与艾滋病防治工作，支持提高民间组织的防控能力。
克劳斯感谢中国对联合国艾滋病规划署工作的支持，祝贺中国在防控艾滋病方面取得的成绩。他赞赏中国取消艾滋病感染者旅行限制，为其他国家做出了榜样。联合国艾滋病规划署愿意为中国艾滋病防控难点问题继续提供技术支持和帮助。
卫生部疾控局、国际司有关负责人参加了会见。

Klaus thanked China for its support for the work of UNAIDS, congratulated China on the achievements of AIDS prevention and control. He appreciated China's cancellation of AIDS travel restrictions, has set an example for other countries. UNAIDS is willing to difficult problems in China's AIDS prevention and control continue to provide technical support and help.
