作为美国布朗大学艺术设计专业的高材生，她放弃了百万美元的年薪，投身到艾滋病的治疗与研究至今已12年。她还两次来渝当义工，通过努力挽救了我市一名濒临绝望的艾滋病小伙。她，就是今年34岁的美籍华人Sophy，中文名字叫黄肖华。昨日，患艾滋病的小伙小林（化名）再次接到了PANGEAE全球艾滋病基金会中国项目医疗主管黄肖华打来的越洋电话，两人约定今年9月在重庆再次见面。
放弃百万美元年薪投身公益
5月17日，在重庆市公共卫生医疗救治中心的艾滋病关爱之家里，记者见到了皮肤黝黑的黄肖华，扎着马尾辫的她看起来十分精神。这是她第二次到重庆来当义工。
“我选择这条路，只是想要帮助很多人，这是搞艺术设计不能做到的。”在翻译小陆的帮助下，出生在美国加利福尼亚州的黄肖华用并不流利的中文，向记者谈起了自己从事艾滋病治疗的经历。
黄肖华的父亲是广东人、母亲是福建人，1998年，黄肖华以优异的成绩从美国布朗大学艺术设计专业毕业，当时曾有不少美国公司高薪邀请她，条件最优厚的年薪高达100万美元，但她都放弃了。“毕业前，我看了一部纪录片，讲的是全球艾滋病的发病和治疗现状，我十分震惊，于是暗下决心决定，投身于艾滋病的治疗与研究。”黄肖华轻描淡写地说出了自己放弃高薪转行的秘密。
然而，一个学设计的学生，要转行学医，艰难可想而知。黄肖华回忆称，自己毕业后，首先跑到当地一社区当社工，拿着微薄的工资自学医学。而为了得到布朗大学结核与艾滋病专家Jane Conter教授的亲传，黄肖华曾连续好几天都守在教学楼门口，一见到她就拿出自己当社工照顾艾滋病人时搜集的病理材料，向她请教。
“我本来不想收她当学生，但她的真诚和勤奋感动了我，最终我决定破例收下这个徒弟。”接到记者的电话后，Conter教授对黄肖华称赞不已。
非洲救助艾滋病患者险丧命
“其实我走的这条路并不平坦，甚至曾险些丧命，但看到救助对象能重新鼓起勇气面对生活，我觉得一切都值得。”黄肖华回忆说，2003年，Conter教授带着还是实习医生的她前往非洲肯尼亚，进行艾滋病医疗救助。有一次，黄肖华乘车前往一个部落巡查艾滋病患者，当车行至一片丛林中时，前方突然发生爆炸，她乘坐的吉普车当场被掀翻。周围榴弹纷飞，吓得黄肖华躲在侧翻的吉普车里大声哭泣。十几分钟后，枪声渐停，黄肖华才从车里战战兢兢地爬出来，在向导的帮助下向当地医疗中心求救。
“我额头上的这道疤，就是在那次事故中留下的。”黄肖华指着自己额头的伤疤笑着说，这样的经历，她一辈子都不会忘记。
2009年，黄肖华加入了美国PANGEAE全球艾滋病基金会，今年初成为了中国项目医疗主管，负责为重庆、昆明、武汉、杭州四城市提供技术支持。
给艾滋病小伙夹菜拉家常
5月11日，黄肖华第二次来到我市公共卫生医疗救治中心当义工。正是这趟重庆之行，她改变了一个重庆艾滋病小伙小林一生的命运。
今年25岁的小林是名同性恋者，2008年从我市某高校毕业后，突然出现高烧不止、肌肉疼痛等症状，最后在新桥医院被确诊HIV呈阳性。
被吓坏了的小林根本不敢将病情告诉家人。但纸包不住火，今年2月，家人发现小林的隐情后，将他送至我市公共卫生医疗救治中心治疗。该中心陈主任称，自从小林被家人送来后，包括父母在内，几乎所有的亲戚都不再和他来往了。不堪忍受的小林于是想到了自杀，幸好被值班护士发现并制止。由于小林的情绪太不稳定，医院只好对其采取24小时监控。
医护人员称，5月中旬，来中心当义工的黄肖华得知小林病情严重，并且心理压力超负荷后，他除了给医护人员讲课和照顾其他病人外，休息时间几乎全部用在了小林身上。
有一天中午吃饭时间到了，黄肖华亲自端着饭菜，摆在小林的病床边，和小林一起吃起饭来。席间，黄肖华不停地往小林的碗里夹菜，在翻译的帮助下，二人拉起了家常，一顿饭竟吃了一个半小时。当黄肖华收拾碗筷准备离开时，被感动的小林突然失声大哭，并表示一定不会再做傻事，要好好活下去。
“其实和艾滋病人一起吃饭很多人都能做到，关键是心灵的交流以及交谈的艺术。”事后，黄肖华向大家交流经验时说道。
在渝只到过朝天门解放碑玩
“我感触最深的就是她太敬业了，她在重庆近一个月的时间里，就只到过朝天门和解放碑玩。”市公共卫生医疗救治中心院长黄成瑜感动地说，今年1月，黄肖华首次来到重庆，带来了先进的用药技术和治疗的先进理念。两个星期内，黄肖华拒绝了医院邀请外出游览的机会，几乎所有的时间都泡在病房里。
5月11日，黄肖华再次来到重庆，这次，在黄院长的盛情邀请下，黄肖华终于抽出了半天时间，在医护人员的陪伴下，带着一个艾滋病小姑娘，游览了朝天门和解放碑。黄院长说：“其实她答应出去游玩最主要的目的，是为了陪那个艾滋病小姑娘，想让她快乐起来。”
“重庆很漂亮，有山有水，还有很多树，建筑也很漂亮，这是我在中国见过的最漂亮的城市。”说起重庆，黄肖华两眼开始放光。然而，给她印象最深的，还是重庆火锅。“我第一次吃火锅时，一大口毛肚吃进口，把我辣得不行，赶紧吐了出来。”说起第一次吃火锅时的情景，黄肖华哈哈大笑起来。除了火锅，磁器口的鸡杂也让她印象深刻。她表示，这次来重庆，她在超市里买了很多火锅底料，将带回美国和丈夫一起分享。
艾滋小伙：她的阳光打动了我
5月18日，黄肖华乘机飞往北京出席一个学术研讨会。临走时，她向市公共卫生医疗救治中心里每一个患者告别，但最让她放心不下的还是小林。目前，已回到美国的黄肖华仍常常打来越洋电话，询问小林的病情。
“她的笑容充满了阳光。”说起黄肖华留给自己的印象，小林直到昨天依然倍感温馨。
“我非常谢谢她，是她的阳光打动了我。”昨日，小林向记者透露了当时黄肖华和他一起吃饭时说的话。当时黄肖华告诉小林，只要他积极配合医生们治疗，下次她再来重庆时，小林可能就出院了，到时她会到小林家，向他的父母解释，让他们知道自己的儿子有多么优秀。
