预防艾滋病第一步：知道真相
今天是在纳米比亚的第一天。人口两百多万，人均收入高于南非，艾滋病比例稍低。二十年前，南非的人均寿命53岁，纳米比亚的人均寿命61岁；可是，现在由于艾滋病的冲击，南非人均寿命下降到42，纳米比亚48左右，让平均寿命缩短20％多！可见，艾滋病预防对中国多么重要，第一步是让人们知道真情，提高警觉！（3月14日记）
纳米比亚人对中国人真诚热心
到纳米比亚，跟普通黑人朋友接触，才具体感受到他们对过去几个世纪西方统治的憎恨，特别是年长者。1990年纳米比亚独立，独立运动中中国给予极大支持，至今他们还是感激不尽。加上最近几年中国给予的经济援助，更是如此。
相比之下，纳米比亚人远比南非对中国真诚热心。南非的精英在文化上受英美影响比非洲其他国家多，所以，明显地，纳米比亚等非洲国家的人跟中国人感到很近，但南非人却不同。（3月15日记）
高速公路干线边的城镇艾滋感染比例高
哪些地方的人更会感染艾滋病原？在纳米比亚，成年人感染比例最高的是主要高速公路干线旁边的城镇，尤其是跨越非洲的高速公路主干道两边的城镇。为什么会这样？
是因为这些地方集中很多妓女，高速公路上来往的过路客喜欢去光顾，特别是那些开长途卡车运输的司机，一次旅途可能两千公里，离家就是很多天，会寂寞。所以，好像美国，非洲等全球的长途卡车司机都喜欢找妓女。这样以来，就有了高速公路干线边的城镇艾滋感染比例高的现象。（3月16日记）
