2010年5月16日晚，由中华红丝带基金主办，主题为“请给我一个拥抱”的国际艾滋病烛光日主题公益活动在北京欢乐谷隆重举行。全国工商联副主席、基金理事长谢经荣，全国工商联副主席、基金执行理事长、世茂集团董事局主席许荣茂，卫生部原副部长、中华慈善总会副会长、基金副理事长彭玉，全国工商联副秘书长兼扶贫与社会服务部部长、基金副监事长谷彦芬，国务院防治艾滋病工作委员会办公室主任助理孙新华，中央电视台著名节目主持人、基金形象大使白岩松，基金凉山州项目关爱大使沙玛阿果、吉杰，著名演员濮存昕、蒋雯丽等以及全国工商联部分直属会员商会领导、企业家等社会各界爱心人士冒雨出席了此次活动。著名演员杨童舒，优秀青年主持人毛晓奕共同主持活动。
谢经荣副主席首先代表主办方致词。他讲到，这么多社会各界人士齐聚一堂，举行这样一个温暖而意义深远的活动，充分体现了在党和政府的正确领导以及全社会的共同支持参与下，我们战胜艾滋病的信心和决心。国务院防治艾滋病工作委员会办公室主任助理孙新华先生代表国艾办，对全国工商联和中华红丝带基金在防治艾滋病方面所做的工作给予了高度评价，他表示，这一活动对大众了解艾滋病、减少歧视将起到极其重要的作用。
许荣茂执行理事长在晚会上宣布“2010年红丝带行动计划正式启动”。随后，谢经荣、许荣茂、彭玉、谷彦芬、孙新华等领导共同点亮红丝带。瞬间，舞台上巨大的红丝带造型灯箱被点亮，台下现场观众也一同点亮了手中的红烛形LED灯，现场犹如一片烛光的海洋。
白岩松作为嘉宾主持，在现场采访了预防艾滋病宣传员蒋雯丽以及艾滋病纪录片《魔术行动》小主演---红丝带小学学生胡泽涛。蒋雯丽介绍了该片的创作背景及进展状况，同时和在座的来宾分享了自己从2002年起参与艾滋病防治的心路历程。来自山西临汾红丝带小学的孩子们表演的《妈妈，别为我哭泣》的诗歌朗诵令全场动容。据悉，这些孩子都是不幸感染艾滋病的，但是在社会各界的关怀与支持下，他们正在走向健康和光明的生活。
艾滋病宣传员濮存昕专门提早结束另外一个活动赶到了欢乐谷活动现场。他表示，参与艾滋病防治工作是大家共同的责任，希望我们能够行动起来，共同遏制艾滋病的蔓延。著名歌手吉杰还与孩子们共同演唱了一首《我要飞》，表达了受艾滋病影响孩子们的共同心声。
彭玉副会长为环球小姐中国总部颁发了荣誉证书。从2010年开始，今后每届环球小姐中国赛区的总冠军都将成为中华红丝带基金的亲善大使，与基金的工作人员共同为艾滋病募集捐款，并参与基金宣传和项目活动。
随后，基金领导、企业家、演艺界人士、志愿者代表共同宣读了《请给我一个拥抱承诺宣言》，呼吁社会各界从我做起，从现在做起，以身作责，履行抗艾承诺，不恐惧、不歧视艾滋病感染者和受艾滋病影响群体，希望全社会用理解、宽容、关爱去帮助他们。
在活动的最后，谢经荣、许荣茂、彭玉、谷彦芬等领导及明星艺人、企业家、志愿者等现场众多观众，满含深情地走到红丝带小学的孩子身边，给予他们热情的拥抱和鼓励。台湾偶像派歌手徐洁儿演唱的活动主题曲《请给我一个拥抱》，将整个晚会推向高潮。
许荣茂基金执行理事长在接受记者采访时说，之所以要举办“请给我一个拥抱”的主题活动，就是希望全社会更多的人都加入到防艾的行列中来，艾滋病防治不应只停留在口号上，更要付诸行动。哪怕是拥抱艾滋病感染者这样一个简单的动作，都能给予他们温暖和力量。同时，也要用行动告诉公众，正常交往是不会感染艾滋病的。
晚会现场还向社会公布了中华红丝带基金2010年的主要工作和开展的一系列公益项目，重点包括农民工安康爱心包裹项目、受艾滋病影响儿童学习生活资助项目、村级卫生室建设项目以及母婴阻断营养支持项目，并希望社会各界能够积极行动起来加入到抗击艾滋病的行列中来，为我国艾滋病防治工作做出新贡献。

都匀阳光工作站关爱同性恋群体
“12·1”世界艾滋病宣传日到来之际，记者探访了一个关爱同性恋人群的民间公益组织——都匀市阳光工作站。据不完全统计，目前，黔南州有同性恋300多人，有已婚者、有离异者、有学生、有老师、有公务员，大多数是自由职业者，其中最大年纪60多岁，最小年纪14岁。

11月13日，一个深秋的上午。
都匀城北郊一个依山傍水的农家山庄，40多名年轻人正在聚会：搞烧烤、打麻将、做游戏、猜谜问答……掌声欢呼声此起彼伏。
活动现场挂着一条标语——“都匀市秋意情浓同伴宣传教育活动”。让人诧异的是，不时有男生对着另一男生喊：“老公、老公，加油。”；或一个女生喊另一女生：“老公、老公加油。”现场气氛十分活跃。
原来，这群年轻人都是都匀的同性恋者(记者注：男同性恋称“同志”或MSM，女同性恋称“拉拉”)。当天，他们应都匀市阳光工作站的邀请，结伴报名来这里参加活动。
都匀市阳光工作站是一个民间关爱同性恋志愿者组织。当天应邀参加活动的还有都匀市和凯里市疾病预防控制中心等有关单位负责人，期间还有10多名同性恋者自愿参加血液检测。
志愿者创办“关爱”机构
当日，都匀市阳光工作站站长幻希(网名)首次接受了记者独家采访。他说，他创办这个关爱同性恋、宣传预防艾滋病的志愿者公益组织已经4年了，当天是首次公开面对媒体。
幻希曾在新闻单位工作过，是个热心于公益事业的小伙子。
2006年初，受“防艾”大使濮存昕的影响，幻希专程到贵州省红十字会和省疾病预防控制中心咨询，打算当一名“防艾”志愿者。他的想法得到了疾控、红十字会等相关部门的大力支持。
2006年7月，幻希不顾家人反对，邀约几个朋友悄然成立了都匀市阳光工作站。此后，他申请前往武汉参加学习，聆听同性恋研究专家的授课，与全国各地的防艾组织交流，幻希受益匪浅，更加坚定了开展此项公益活动的决心。
回到家乡后，他与都匀市CDC(疾病预防控制中心)签订了合作协议，联合开展“防艾”知识宣传工作。
走进阳光工作站
11月15日，记者来到了位于都匀一居民楼小区的阳光工作站。办公室里，张贴有各种规章制度、宣传栏，设置有检测设备、安全套发放处、许愿栏等，看起来很规范。工作站有3名专职志愿者，10多名业余志愿者。
记者在现场看到，不时有热线电话咨询：“我爱上了单位的男同事，我该不该向他表达？”“两个人做爱的时候，需要注意些什么问题啊？”“我发现自己的儿子有同性恋倾向，该怎么办啊？”……同性恋的困扰随着一阵阵电话铃声接踵而来，志愿者都像心理咨询专家一样，逐一解答。
一名志愿者告诉记者，由于社会和家庭的不理解，同性恋的活动方式相对隐秘。大多数同性恋者都不愿意将自己的性倾向公开，都在隐藏自己，有打算一辈子不结婚的，也有与配偶保持关系又与某个同性有关系的。
目前，阳光工作站在都匀市CDC的支持下已成功组织开展了10多次同性恋朋友集体“防艾”宣传教育活动。
每次都有50—60人(次)自愿参加，其中绝大多数是男同性恋者，仅有个别女同性恋者。活动中，穿插免费发放安全套、“防艾”宣传册、血液检测等，邀请有关专家、医生作“防艾”知识宣传讲座等。
据不完全统计，目前，黔南州有MSM朋友300多人，有已婚者、有离异者、有学生、有老师、有公务员，大多数是自由职业者，大多数是年轻的男性，其中最大年纪60多岁，最小年纪14岁。同性恋人群中有不少人已经有了稳定的伴侣，有了自己社区的生活，置业购房生活在一起，在家庭生活中也有一些分工。
