Invictus是英国诗人William Ernest Henley的一首短诗，Invictus是2010年老牛仔Clint Eastwood的最新电影，Invictus也是曼德拉常在狱中坚守的一种坚韧信念，而在电影中，Invictus是整个故事的主题升华，是对曼德拉最高的赞誉，也是对人类意志和信念的最高致敬。所以看完电影，我实实在在的被励志了、被感动了。
好莱坞不乏励志佳作且题材多样，而导演伊斯特伍德无论是个人的经历，还是拍出来的电影，都是这种坚强和励志的代名词。尽管在此片中伊老没有突破原有叙事框架，但是整个故事的选材和阐述，都实在而平静地扣人心弦。伊斯特伍德独辟蹊径，从曼德拉和他的橄榄球队切入，不但将沉重的政治在激励人心的体育主题中轻轻扛过，同时，不失鲜明和立体地反映时代和人物的特点，使得政治人物形象饱满，摆脱脸谱化。所以，我认为，《Invictus》（可恶的中文译名为《成事在人》）是体育励志题材和政治人物题材电影完美结合的难得佳作，而伊斯特伍德也不愧是愈老弥坚美国西部汉子，80岁高龄执导筒，不变的高品质，不变的勇敢的心。
