预防艾滋病项目在铁岭市启动

8月21日上午,预防艾滋病项目在我市启动,我市将在青年大学生、男男同性恋、艾滋病病毒感染者及娱乐场所从业人员等人群中免费开展宣传教育活动。
预防艾滋病项目是由辽宁省红十字会以及荷兰红十字会资助，铁岭市红十字会组织实施。预防艾滋病项目的工作定位为预防干预、行为干预、倡导关爱、反对歧视。
市红十字会常务副会长马铁森说，我国艾滋病流行的特点为艾滋病病毒感染者以青壮年为主，静脉吸毒和性接触已成为艾滋病传播的主要方式。市民可能都知道这种病是一种致命的疾病，目前还没有办法治愈，但艾滋病是可以预防的，而预防上以宣传教育为主。
市疾病控制中心艾滋病科科长徐志宏说，如果条件成熟，还将对重点人群采取必要的干预措施，在娱乐场所和宾馆、旅社等重点部位推广使用安全套，重点地段和场所还将设立安全自动售套机，但这还需要一段时间。
马铁森说，预防艾滋病项目之后,市红十字会将针对重点人群和大学生举办多期的预防艾滋病培训班，提高公众对艾滋病危害的认识，能够更好的预防艾滋病。
