金秋十月，东博组织四川长征自贡、成都百斯特、重庆科菲等17家机床企业成立了考察团，共同赴韩国考察，与韩国机械行业各相关协会进行了友好会晤，他们热情地接待了考察团一行，并表示了对蓬勃发展的中国市场的浓厚兴趣，希望积极发展同中国机床工具行业的商贸合作。此次考察使更多韩国协会关注中国机床工具行业发展，关注东博展。他们的介入将为中国市场创造新的合作机会。
考察团一行观摩了韩国机床展。由于韩国KOMAF与EASTPO2007首度合作全面告捷，KOMAF对东博国际机床展及中国机床市场发展状况深表信心。KOMAF与 EASTPO2008进行了更为深入的合作，合作签约仪式将于11月在上海举行。EASTPO2008，韩国组团还将带来新型机器人，机器人将在展会现场进行“模仿秀”、“人机互动比赛”等新颖模式表演，这些机器人将向工业市场如汽车、手机、 FPD等提供系统的高附加值客户服务。
此次组团赴韩考察，是东博整合累积十年的资源与渠道，为行业服务的重要举措，通过此次尝试，开拓并发展新型合作模式，为韩国企业走进中国市场提供了广阔有效的舞台，为行业“走出去”提供了新的渠道与契机。
参加此次考察团的企业普遍反应赴韩考察赢得莫大收获。四川长征自贡的李总表示，此次除了在韩国机械展上采购到所需配件外，最重要的是了解了韩国市场，向韩国企业学习到宝贵的经验。整个行业应多组织此类活动，加强企业间合作，共同“走出去”， 更好地利用国外的资源和市场，拓展海外业务，促进整个机床行业发展。
正是为了促进行业交流与发展，东博每年组织两次行业沙龙，邀请企业高层负责人不定期聚会。上次会议沈阳机床的总经理、大连机床的总裁、助理均到场，气氛很好。三十余名机床界精英济济一堂，聊行业、聊企业，沙龙为行业内的人士提供宽松的交流环境，促进相互了解，共同创造商机。

In October, EASTPO led a delegation to Korea for a business trip. The delegation is made up of 17 machine tool enterprises including CCZMT, Chengdu BEST, Chong Qing KEFEI etc. They are warmly welcomed by leader head of related associations in Korea and had friendly meeting with them. Leaders expressed great interests in the fast development of China’s machine tool market and willing to have trade cooperation with machine tool counterparts in China. This trip made our Korea counterparts became more concern about the development of China’s machine tool industry and EASTPO. Their involvement would create more business opportunities for China market.
Meanwhile, the delegation attended the Korea Machinery Fair. For the successful cooperation between KOMAF and EASTPO 2007, KOMAF expressed great confidence in EASTPO 2008 and the development of China’s machine tool industry. KOMAF and EASTPO 2008 will conduct a more in-depth cooperation and the signing ceremony will be held in November in Shanghai. By then, robots will be showcased first time at EASTPO 2008. Robot will bring visitors with on-site “imitation show”, “Human-robot interactive game”. These robots will provide customers in automobiles, mobile phones and FPD industry with high value-added services.
This trip is an important move in the machine tool industry, after 10 years of integration of resources and channels. Through this attempt, new models for cooperation will be explored to provide an effective stage for Korean companies entering China’s market and a chance for Chinese enterprises to reach out.
The trip is fruitful. General Manager Lee, from Sichuan Zigong, said that apart from buying accessories at the fair, the most important thing is we got a better picture about the Korean market and learned valuable lessons. The whole industry should all reach out and make better use of foreign resources and market to expand overseas business to promote the development of the whole machine tool industry, GM Lee added.
To promote trade exchange and development, two annual Salons are organized by EASTPO. Many decision makers are invited. On the last meeting, General Manager from Shengyang Machine Tool Group and the president from Dalian Group presented and had friendly talks with more than 30 entrepreneurs in the industry.
