San Diego Zoo is one of the largest zoos in the world, and the fare is rather expensive, about $27, because I have the habit of napping on the grass of the soccer pitch, I saw on occasion a poster there that UCSD students can join the group visiting on the price of $7 each, so six of us went there the Saturday before last.
Zoo in Chinese is 动物园,and in china we usually see animals directly in the zoo, unlike that of china, San Diego Zoo has a characteristic of the zoo itself, animals are only part of it.
It is not as large as we imagined, but the zoo is beautiful indeed. It is located in a natural mountain, and the hills and valleys made the zoo a tridimensional rather than a plat one. The main animals are bears, birds, bonobos (倭黑猩猩) camels, cats, elephants, flamingos(火烈鸟),giant pandas, giraffes(黑猩猩), gorillas(大猩猩), hippos(河马), koalas, lions, monkeys, orangutans (猩猩),pigs, polar bears, reptiles, siamangs (合趾猴),tigers, zebras, giant anteaters, and so forth.
