河南累计为二千五百余艾滋病人免费提供中医治疗

　中新社郑州二月十八日电 (记者 李志全)中国中医药治疗艾滋病项目取得新进展。截至二00八年年底，河南累计为二千五百四十六名病人提供了免费治疗，有助于提高患者生活质量。

　　河南省中医管理局局长夏祖昌十八日在此间表示，四年的临床观察显示，中医药治疗艾滋病具有增强患者免疫机能，减少、减轻机会感染，提高生活质量，延缓发病时间的作用，对降低病毒载量有一定作用。

　　夏祖昌在总结二00八年全省中医工作时说，河南实施中医中药治疗艾滋病试点项目以来，累计为二千五百四十六名病人提供了免费治疗。同时，该省积极开展科学研究，为推广中医药治疗艾滋病的成果，满足艾滋病人对中医药治疗的迫切需求，该省筛选一千名因耐药退出抗病毒治疗的病人，将纳入中医药治疗范围。

　　谈及中医药的地位，夏祖昌表示，中医药不仅在防治常见病、多发病等方面发挥了独特作用，在SARS、艾滋病、乙肝等重大传染病防治和地震、矿难、交通事故等重大突发事件的医疗救援者，也发挥着越来越重要的作用。例如，中医在“五·一二”汶川特大地震医疗救援、“结实宝宝”排查治疗等事件中发挥了一定作用。

　　夏祖昌表示，二00九年，河南将认真总结经验，做好中医药治疗艾滋病工作。加快新药研发；加强河南省中医药治疗艾滋病临床研究中心建设，进一步整合专家队伍和科研资源，使之真正成为全省中医药治疗艾滋病临床和科研基地。(完)
