According to the British "Daily Mail" reported on July 9, to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) research team headed by recently discovered the AIDS virus can inhibit 91% of the super-antibody, the scientists expected to produce so called The first effective AIDS vaccine. The research was published in 9 "Science" magazine.
Some people infected with AIDS virus, the body can produce a powerful immune system proteins, helping them to extend their lives. The body appears to inhibit the number of strains of HIV antibodies is not uncommon, however, until last year, scientists could only find some diseased plants in and a large number of HIV antibodies, but not an antibody can inhibit more than 40% of the strains.
Naber (Nabel) led the research team found that super-antibody is the use of home-made device in an HIV carrier was found, and is both naturally occurring and VRC02 called VRC01 antibodies to the human-free in the disease.
HIV is difficult to eliminate one of the reasons is that it constantly mutates human immune system and drugs can only be very passive, chase the goal of this free variable. Research team members Makesili said: "These two antibodies attached to the AIDS virus does not mutate the site, which is why they can and in such a large number of causes of HIV strains."
Previously, the production of AIDS vaccine is almost a mission impossible. Last year in September, the researchers say in Thailand, an AIDS vaccine test revealed that the vaccine can reduce the infection rate of 30%, but analysts say the results are not statistically significant.
It is reported that HIV will usually develop into AIDS, the United Kingdom there are about 73,000 HIV carriers, experts say 30% of the carriers do not know that they have been infected. Since the early 80 century and the beginning of a pandemic of AIDS since the 3300 million people worldwide have contracted the disease, 2,500 people died. Scientists Naber said: "Compared with the past 10 years, I have now the emergence of AIDS vaccine is more optimistic." (Cai Donghai)
