选自《创世纪》第二章第7节，第21--22节

And the lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became the living being.And the lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. The the rib which the lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

 

耶和华神用地上的尘土造人，将生气吹入他的鼻孔，他就成了有灵的活人（名叫亚当）。耶和华神是他沉睡，他就睡了；于是神就取下他的一根肋骨，又把肉合起来。神就用那人身上取出的肋骨造出一个女人，并把她带到男人身边。

Define form:     

1 : the shape and structure of something as distinguished from its material

2.1 a : to give a particular shape to

n. 形式,形状,表格
v. 形成,组成,建立

Examples:
1. A plan began to form in his head.
   一项计划在他脑子中形成。
2. He determined to form a club.
   他决心成立一个俱乐部。

 

 

 

Define nostril:     

 either fleshy lateral wall of the nose

n. 鼻孔

Examples:
1. He dislikes his wide nostrils.
   他不喜欢自己的宽大的鼻孔。

 

 

在这里，大家吧亚当和夏娃可以理解为祖先，人类始祖。为了大家可以用好，造两个句子：

 

1.I don't remember when all this took place. Perhaps it was when Adam and Eve lived.

 我记不起这些都是什么时候发生的了，反正是十分遥远的事。

 

2.There is a tendency of longevity on his mother's side. Both his grandpa and grandma lived to be over ninety--lived to be Adam and Eve,as they say.

他母亲那边的人有长寿倾向。他外公外婆都活到九十多--像别人说的，都活成老祖宗了。

 

  无论怎样，人生只百年。但好多人没有看清楚本质，还在为名利权情争的你死我活。天长地久，天地所以能长且久者,以其不自生,故能长生。是以圣人后其身而身先,外其身而身存。非以其无私耶?故能成其私。世界上最大的自私是无私，大家怀着感恩一切的心去生活，会成为最快乐的人。
