中国日报给中国青少年发展基金会（希望工程）的广告，依然劝募资金建设希望小学。而希望小学，已经没有必要的。因为教育部在撤并现有学校，1997－2008年已经把全国小学从64万多所，削减到32万多所。其次，国家承诺教育预算4％终于要落实了。因此这个广告不负责任，因为援助方向已经不符合实际了。
