　　据了解，从2010年起，自治区本级财政预算每年安排5000万元艾滋病防治专项经费。根据政府部门部署，从今年到2014年，广西将实施10个防治艾滋病专项工程，包括防治艾滋病宣传教育、依法治理性与毒品传播艾滋病、预防艾滋病推广使用安全套、防治艾滋病健康干预与传染源管理、艾滋病监测能力建设、艾滋病医疗救治、预防艾滋病母婴传播、监管场所防治艾滋病、艾滋病社会救助、防治艾滋病科学研究与技术推广等。同时，围绕减少新发艾滋病病毒感染、降低病死率、提高感染者和病人生存质量的“两降一升”总体目标，到2014年，新报告感染者年增长率控制在15%以内，接受抗病毒治疗的病人病死率控制在3/100人・年以下。

　　据卫生部门统计，在2007年至2009年间，广西男男性行为人群哨点监测结果显示，这个人群的艾滋病感染率已经从0.8%迅速上升到2.8%。专家预测，“同志”人群有可能是今后的一个艾滋病高流行人群。根据部署要求，到2014年，暗娼最近一次商业性性行为安全套使用率达90%以上，男男性行为者最近一次性行为安全套使用率达90%以上。
