随着中国和澳大利亚两国贸易往来的增加，澳大利亚在中国乃至亚洲的地位也日渐重要。然而，澳大利亚丰富独特的文化对于人们来说却仍然陌生。在当今世界版图中，澳大利亚作为亚洲文化和西方文化重要的桥梁，为两种文化的汇集和交融提供了平台。

作为全球领先多媒体人物周刊，《Steven视线》，以促进中澳文化艺术交流为目的，联合中国驻澳大使馆、ABC电视台及澳洲侨报等澳洲主流媒体，展开澳洲人物之旅。活动预计从2010年12月开始，历时6个月，将先后采访三十几位来自不同背景的澳大利亚文化艺术名流、政治家、企业家、华侨，如第十七届悉尼双年展策展人David Elliott，上海世博会澳大利亚馆设计师Peter Ford, 澳洲最大的华人传媒集团-澳大利亚澳星国际传媒集团的创始人姜兆庆先生，澳洲顶级品牌时装发布会Fashion Palette 的创办人Sonya Mefaddi, 亚洲当代艺术4A画廊创始人皇甫秉惠等等。同时，Steven视线计划于明年举办中澳文化艺术交流展，届时将邀请多位中澳艺术家，澳洲驻中国大使，澳洲文化教育处共同参与。
 
Steven视线将通过中英双语的方式，结合视频、音频、图片和文字以及在线互动等多种形式，向大家展现澳洲文化的独特魅力。

Steven's Stepping Into Australia
 
Nowadays, economic exchange between Australia and China is becoming more and more frequent and important. As we all know, Australia has been building up a cultural bridge between Asia and the west over the years. However, Australia's unique and well regarded culture still remains obscure to Chinese people.
 
Aiming to lead the wave, Steven's People Weekly is working together with China Embassy in Australia, ABC Public Broadcast, Australian Chinese and some other major media, starting an interview series of celebrated Australian figures.
 
Starting from December 2010, we are going to meet people with varies backgrounds in 6 months, such as David Elliott, curator of 17th Sydney Biennale; Peter Ford, architect of the Australian pavilion at Shanghai Expo; Mr. Jiang Zhaoqing, founder of the Australian Star Group; Sonya Mefaddi, founder of Australian top brands fashion conference - Fashion Palette; Binghui Huangfu, the director of 4A gallery and etc..
 
Steven's People Weekly will present the charm in Australian culture in the forms of videos, audios, photos and words in both Chinese and English.
